Hello everyone and sorry you haven't heard from me for awhile. My last vacation didn't go according to plan and the only place I really went was to Denver for one night...long story but let it suffice to say that buddy passes are on my Black List and I really wouldn't mind if I never had to use them again!
I'll be home for the family reunion next week...I wasn't able to make Uncle DeWayne's funeral because... well, he didn't really give me much notice! I called scheduling to see if I could use emergency leave for it but since he isn't considered an immediate family member it didn't qualify for emergency leave. So at 4:30 p.m. while the rest of my enormous family was gathered together in honor of my wonderful Uncle DeWayne, sharing memories of 'the good ole' days', I was flying over Niagara Falls.
We were a few minutes early so our flight deck received permission to fly over Niagara Falls on our way out of Buffalo. Passenger Mike Gonzales, who was traveling with his mom Carol, took these photos from the window near the back of the aircraft and was kind enough to forward them

Thanks to Mike Gonzales who took all of these photos from the window of a CRJ900! on to me. Thanks Mike and Carol!
My next big adventure begins the last week in August. I'm a little worried I'm biting off more than I can chew with this one, but I'm going anyway. With the unexpected passing of my dear Uncle DeWayne at LEAST 20 years too soon, I'm not waiting until "everything's perfect" to do anything anymore. There is no perfect time for anything; there is only time and it doesn't appear to be slowing down.
Stay tuned.... You're going to LOVE this next adventure!
