Spent two weeks in Tokyo and it is a huge city with incredible amount of people !

Walked around in parks and got stung by mosquitos. Visited the fashion shopping district, electronic district and many other districts and places and saw loads of stuff.
Singing karaoke until 5 am was a first.
Saw Sumida river fireworks along with 750 000 others.

Went up to top of Fuji mountain and it was wonderful. Started my walk at 2300 meters and all clouds were below me and I felt like I was in heaven. I walked up during the night to the top at 3700 meters and watched the sunrise. There were lots of other people walking too and some were 10 year old kids and old people so most people can do it. The weather was quite cold and I bought an extra sweater at the tourist shop before I started my walk. Lucky I did it, because the weather at the top was cold and there were patches of snow and icecles and it was windy. Fortunately I also brought my sleeping bag to wrap around myself 😊

Things that I remember:
* No trash bins. You have to carry your trash until you walk by an convinience shop that have trash bin outside or until you get to your hostel.
* Japanese people are polite, friendly and helpful
* Tokyo is a mix of new and old. Brand new skyscrapers close to small alleys filled with tiny old style restaurants and pubs. I thought Tokyo would be a very high-tech city, but somehow Singapore and Hongkong felt more high-tech then Tokyo.
* Air conditioning everywhere and it often gets too cold.
* Cars are silent so the traffic sounds less then in Sweden !

Hachikoo, the fateful dog

Hachikoo followed his master to subway station everyday and returned in the afternoon when master came back. One day master did not come home. Hachikoo came back every afternoon, but master never came for seven years which was as long as Hachikoo lived. Maybe he met his master in the life after where master had went seven years earlier.

When you see snow and ice at the top and all people have lots of clothing you really don't expect to see someone wearing shorts.

In Japan people really like karaoke. You get song list the size of a phone book to choose from :)
