Trekking!!

Totally didn't plan to trek for so long and so high! haaaa....
How nice to meet people on the way..haa...coz this trekking was SO GOOD...the view was superb!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, woke up around 7 and by the time I got ready....breakfast was already out in the garden! wah....so nice=)
We kinda took our time and then got to the bus station and AH! missed the bus by like 2 mins!!!!! >__<"
So we decided to hop on the bus to Levoca and hope there were more frequent buses going to Poprad...and
BINGO! haaa....one in 15 mins! sweeeeeeeeeeet!
Got to Poprad and had to take this electric train to Stary Slomovec....somewhere like that.
From there we started walking into the trails.
The first hour wasn't that great....the trail didn't look nice coz the trees were all gone....due to..maybe wind or some bug they have there...
After we reached this other town uphill...after like 45 mins? then the trails looks so much nicer...haaa
It wasn't a difficult walk and I wasn;t tired at all...but catching my breathe was.....phew...I really need exercise...-__-"

It started to rain at this point...HEAVILY...we had to wait a while before we set off again...and we didn't have any raingears.......got a little wet ne....^^"
Anyways, after that we walked another 2 hours ...east? towards the high cable car station.
We first went to this "waterfall"...it was small...quite nice....
Then there was this other one in the middle of the forest and this one was much more powerful!!!! Love to just stare at the energy....and LUCKY!!! saw a rainbow in the falls!!!!! so beautiful!!!!!=) wanted to just sit there the whole afternoon and see when the rainbow will disappear! Haaaaa...=P
Anyways, continued and after like an hour...we reached this little...chata place...probably like a food station or sth. We had lunch there..
We brought our own pasta and cherry tomatos....Yum! Candies as well..heeee=P~~
After that..the trail went up and we started to walk on the edge of the mountain!!! SO COOOOL!!! one side its like a rocky slope, the other side is a bushy slope and if u fall down...then byebye. haaaa! A little scary sometimes when I peeked down...but the view was so..beautiful......being so high up looking down...everything so small and looks so nice and perfect...and then you turn and look up. and you see these mountain peaks with some parts still covered in snow....and feel that you are so small and at one point the mountain will just crush you.....
haa! I always prefered mountains to sea.....haaaa!
The only bad thing was...the mountain was full of FLIES!!!!! annoying FLIES!!!! argh....><"

Anyways, we made it to the cable car station.....they had cars up the peak but.....it was cloudy and the weather was bad.....so we didn't go up and just took the cable car down.....
Not too bad...but not scary ne! I think the one at Ocean park is steeper and scarier..haaaaaa!
Got to the mid-station and they had these like..mountain board cars for rent to roll down the mountain! SO WANTED TO TRY!!!!! but it was raining.....and probably not good for it......=( to bad.....

Anyways, we finally got to this town and they had internet, so we went online a bit, then went off back to Poprad.
We had to change electric trains and it was almost an hour wait.....
haa..i taught Jon how to play Big2!!!! haaaa...We then played on the train for 20 mins.....ahh...he beat me within 20 mins!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!! I need more practice!!!!!!!!!

Got to Poprad and guess what? it was 1930 and NO MORE TRAINS to that little town we need to go to to go back to the penzion!! No more direct buses as well!!! AHHH...The moment I thought we were stuck...then, the train station people were so nice and checked the schedule online for us and found us a bus!...late tho......we had an hour + in Poprad. So, deicided to go back to the slovak restaurant to have dinner.
I had a soup and sausage this time....very goooooood!
Took the bus to this Sp. Nova...sth town...and had another hour wait. So went into a pub/cafe to drink. Thinking beer..ended up with a latte..haaaa!!! it was a GOOOOOD one tho.....I think I like Lattes more than Cappuchinos now..just coz there's more milk in it..haaa.....but Cappuchino actually has more a 'taste'....=P

Anyways, didn;t get back tp Sp. Pohradie till like 2310. The castle night lights were on!!! So nice!!! So went around to look at it before heading back to the Penzion.

So tired ne....
Jon's leaving the next day, so back on my own lu!
But will find him again when I get to Sweden!!^__^"

I'm enjoying reading of your travels. I'll be in the Mala Fatra/High Tatra areas in early September. I have a question. ...From what I've read it doesn't sound like anyone really speaks English in Slovakia. Are you having any problems with the language barrier? This will be my first trip abroad so the language thing concerns me a bit.

thanks for reading! and the high tatras are so beautiful! and well...not much of them speak English but the people at the info centre definitely do. Occaaional train tickets booth people can speak some broken English as well. not a big problem so dont worry!=)
