Today we're back in Cozumel, the port for parties and play. Though we're still taking it easy with the partying. Until next week. For my last cruise, the plan is for the whole group of us to go back to Park Royale so I can have one last day in the sun with friends and unlimited daquiris! Oh that'll be good.

But today was good too. I went first to No Name Bar, the bar for crew by crew for a drink, some food and friends. Really I just needed the drink and I'll get to why in a moment. The ship Michelle just came from, The Holiday, is in port with us today so she was meeting her friends at No Name to celebrate her birthday which is later this week.

After a bit of time at No Name, Marvin and I headed to La Cieba, one of the hotels near our pier where a lot of the entertainment crowd was spending the day. I laid out in the sun with Emma & Emma Lou & Marvin, just chatting and sipping mango daiquiris and eating chips and guacamole. Which by the way I never liked until last week

The boys needed som breakfast before our trip to the tattto parlour. This McDonalds is the schmanciest ever! Armchair seating, stylish furniture. Really. Who knew?
when I went to that local family run place in Costa Maya with Cesar. Now I'm a big fan. It was a pretty easy day. Nice chats. Marvin & I talked more about auditioning for Supper Club Duo. We want to put together an audition before I leave next week. "Emma-squared" and I talked a lot about being able to see each other again. I'm thinking that fall 2008 I'll go to Europe again, to visit friends in England and then travel the European countries that I still really want to see. Emma Lou will be married & living in Italy by then so she said I'd have to come stay with her. How wonderful will that be? I've met so many wonderful people on the ship and while it's going to be hard to say goodbye not knowing when we'll see each other again, it's also exciting to have friends scattered around the globe. Whenever I travel again, I'll have people to see.

So yes, another nice fun day in the sun.

But before the sunning began, I went on another crazy adventure. I got a tattoo!

Marvin and Phil (gift shop) went with me. I was excited. I've been thinking about doing this for about a month now, went with Jackie & Bronwyn to see them get theirs a few weeks ago, found a design and hung little pictures of it everywhere so I'd have to look at it day in and day out. I decided I really want to do this. But I was afraid of the pain.

But I did it. I was a little nervous that the boys would tease me for being a nervous girl but they were great. Marvin held my hand - which I sqeezed! - and both of them talked to distract me. At first it didn't really hurt, but then a couple spots did, especially when he'd go over it again. It was bareable, mostly because it only took a few minutes. Maby 5. I'd never be able to do a big elaborate one - not that I'd want to either.

My tattoo guy was great. Daniel. And he was pretty dreamy too 😊

I'm really happy with the tattoo. It's small. I got it on my left foot, along the outside. It's black Hindi script that says "Namaste". Literally, it means "I bow

to you" and is said as a greeting. But at the end of a yoga practice you do a namaste. My yoga teacher at Esalen taught us that it means "The devine in me recognizes the devine in you". Different practices define it slightly differently, but to me, that's what it means and that's what I think of - being part of something bigger than me, something beautiful and that I'm one with it.

I'm very happy to have it done. Hopefully I'll always be happy with it. I think I will.
