I’m not sure how many of these I will get around to doing but thought it was pretty easy to kick one off with a few snaps of the scenery over here around Baltimore. So far I’ve been to a game of high-scoring baseball which was a bit like a game of cricket squeezed into 3 hours. There was even a sending off and a fully clothed streaker!

The other photos are from Washington showing the main memorials and buildings around the city centre. There’s plenty of security around the main buildings are you would expect.

As for the night life, we went out to Fells Point on Friday night and had a few too many beers. It’s quite amusing that they ask everybody for ID, yes even me. Another night we went down to Hooters to check out the “food”. It wasn’t that good actually. Fortunately we are travelling with somebody who has been over here about 14 times so he knows a few other dinner venues.

I head over to the west coast tomorrow (Fri) and looking forward to seeing the big gully and Las Vegas.

Hey Dave, I was in Washington in winter, so it looks very different to my visit. It was overcast and dreary when I was there. I read you're South America stuff tpp, the funny thing is that you seem to be going to the same places as the currently airing series of the "Amazing Race". It looks like a fantastic place, the scenary is breathtaking. Don't forget to go to Bryce Canyon in Utah, if you get a chance, it craps all over the Grand Canyon in many ways, but it'll take a full days drive to get there from the Grand Canyon.
