Cordillera Blanca By

Abbey Elliott Set amongst the cordillera blanca andes mountains Hauraz was a picturesque base for a hike into the hills. We hired a guide to take us up a river valley and then up to see glaciers, a lake and a glacial valley. There were plenty of wild cows, horses, donkeys etc on the way. We even got caught in a bull/cow turf war. Even our guide Edgar looked a little worried. We made it 4300m above sea level at the highest point which left us breathless and exhausted. We hiked 7-8 hours per day and camped at the foot of snow capped peaks. It got pretty cold, even with four hot bodies in the tent!!!
Check the next blog for pictures of us throwing up in light aircraft over Nazca!!!

Slow to start...
You were slow to start but I'm glad to see some true 'Michel' style photography coming through... all you need to find now is to find a headless statue to put your head on top and you'll be sorted!!! :-) Rose is doing about the world at nursery this term and she's been dispatched this morning with a map of the world with a post-it showing where in the world her Uncle Elliott is! It looks like fun... Love ya, Big Sis xxx
