It's Hammer time
Big Statue of a guy hammering infront of the performing arts centre. Today after our delicious buffet breakfast (again) feeling very bloated and content, we decided it may be a good idea to go for a bit of a walk. It was rather hilarious that whilst we were walking the streets of Frankfurt this morning, it was peak hour and all the Frankfurtians were travelling to work in their suits etc. Meanwhile here is craig in a T-shirt and Shorts (it was FREEEZING THIS MORNING) and Kellie was in a skirt and sandles. People gave us some funny looks. They must have thought we were from ICELAND or something and we found the Frankfurt weather warm!!! We are weirdos!
We went for a long morning stroll and saw lots of the main business area of the city. We caught a few trams, and buses and now have a good feel for the city and how to get around it.
This afternoon we went to Frankfurt Zoo which was really cheap and a nice afternoon out. The zoo had quite a few unique animals we had not seen in aussie zoos. One interesting choice of display was that of the AUSTRALIAN WATER RAT!!!! They seem to think this animal is worth
School
A schoolyard on our way. Table tennis tables everywhere. a fancy enclosure, but Craig said all they need to do is visit Straddie to see plenty of giant ones there! YUK!
We had another BEST BEST BEST OF ALL TIME today (we have had a few of those this week!) - the best fries ever!!!! or in German Pommes Frites mit Mayo!! It was the Mayo (whole egg I believe) that was the absolute piece de resistance. YUUUUUMMMMMMMYYYYY
Other than that is been fairly uneventful. We are resting up good before we head to pick up our campervan from Offenbach (a suburb near Frankfurt) and start our driving Journey.
