great beach for beach tennis!
Well we finally made it at last! Thailand is great so far, our little bungalow is just what we needed, it has a bed, a fridge, a tv, though BBC World disappeared after a few hours and we are now stuck with Deutshe Welle. Or Fox news. So we are very up to date with America and Europe! We are very close to the beach, and today we took a little longtail boat out to another beach called Railay, which was lovely. We wanted to go to a place called Phra Nang Cave beach, which involved a challenging walk over land and knee deep in the sea to get to, but we made it and it was worth it! We have also enjoyed some gorgeous Thai food, which Max says is his new favourite! Cheap too...we had lunch for a fiver between us!

We have had an unfortunate incident with Max's camera, the memory card slot has a piece missing and wont accept the cards. However we are visiting China next, surely there must be a few camera shops there!! He does have his little one still, but its not great having that happen so early in the

We tried to write this last night but whilst doing so Ao Nang had a powercut. The internet cafe we are in is just over the road from the bungalow, so luckily we didnt have far to walk but when we got back to our room it was also pitch black, so for a few hours we played cards by minimag torch light and listened to my iPod using portable speaker (thanks Shelley, knew it would come in useful!) We were almost sad when the lights came back on...though I was being thrashed at cards so I didnt complain too much!!

Tomorrow we are just going to relax (I might have a Thai massage!) and then its off to Phi Phi on Friday. We will update you all from there.

Love to everyone back home

Clare (and Max) xxx

Glad you arrive safe. Pain about Max's camera, but you should get a really good one at cost in China
