Melways in your pocket
Luke teaching me the ways around London.Well you’ll all be happy to know I’ve arrived safe and sound, and don’t panic I found the closest pub upon arrival. Its nice to be a bit more of a social environment, and enjoy a beer down the pub! Mind you, you can’t walk through smiling at anyone in London, eyes to the floor and look miserable. First night was a blast, landed, unpacked and headed down the pub with Luke and Pete for an afternoon beer, the United-Liverpool game, and from then on it all gets a little blurry. Thank god I took the camera. Caught up with Luke Jarvis as well, so the University contingency is strong over here, throw in Stuart (previously from Cox Architects as well) and the old flat mate Matt, a Kara Nelson and the Australian crowd is alive and kicking. There’s as many mates here as home, (hi everyone). So it didn’t take long to settle in and get used to drinking the pints. Caught up with all the family here in the first week, and managed to devour some traditional home cooked English food, so any weight I had lost in India has definitely been balanced out over here. Luke, Luke, Me and Pete catch up over a beer or two. off to do a bit more partying with Matt and Kara, who both look great and have settled into the London lifestyle! A “couple of beers” on a Sunday lunch turned into a blinder, and ended with me dancing on tables at a Fulham nightclub thing-me, til some time in the morning….like I said….ive settled in. just need a job now, the old $$$$ ain’t lasting that long here. Not sure how the body is going to take the job scene, its been a good 4 months since ive had to do the 9-5 thing but i'm keen to give it a go.
