Managed to get a ticket to Chang Mai. I Leave at 6pm, arive at 8am 2moro. Costs 13 pounds for 700k journey, with bed and air con. I thought it was expensive but in pounds it's fairly good value. I have a few hours spare and have no desire to walk round bangkok in this heat any more.

For some reason I decided to walk to the train station today. The walk was much longer than anticipated and my backpack was much, much heavier. Walked through China town on an open market day, was an experience. This area seems to be much less touristy and they seemed to be very intrigued by me, I didn't dissapoint and was the cause of endless entertainment practically crawling through some of the market wioth a huge backsack on. These markets certainly were not designed for huge English blokes.

Before I came to Thailand I was keen to sample some of the local food and hoped it would be on par with the outstanding thai-style chicken from Ricky Balboa's work. Now I am not so keen, food from the street seller whilst cheap looks and smells abosultly volgar. I honestly could not do the smell justice, I don't think anyone would dare try some of this stuff. Maybe Sonia I eat sqid eyes would i guess. I have found a Tesco's sonia, it was huge but it still did not sell cookies. Gutted. Brought some bread which had sugar and cheese in it, not very nice and some bread which had sweetcorn in it. Why I do not know. Also brought some 'BeLucky' ham to make a hamwhich. I was lucky I haven't died from it yet.

Tried to watch the utd game yesdterday but got confused as they only stated in hongkong time, I woke up several times to try and get it but missed.. somehow.

Anyway gotta go, apprently I have found a rip of cafe. Will try and write another before I go on a trek. May enroll on a thai cooking class tomorrow, if they teach how to cook proper thai-style that is. Not a great update but aint done that much in Bangkok. Chang Mai should be more interesting.

Float on.

You certainly will not die from eating Thailand's "Be Lucky" ham. It is definitely safer than the disgusting meat from Britain's mad cows.

Hey, can I find glutinous rice with "Nam Dokmai" mango in Britain's Tesco? It is much tastier than cookies. Believe me.

If you dislike street food, why not try eating at the 10,000 plus Thai restaurants in Bangkok? Why judge a capital or a whole nation so easily?

Didn't really think I would die. I would not eat something which I thought would kill me.

I have no idea. Doubtfull.

Haha, don't think I judged the whole nation so easily. Merely do not fancy the street food and find the smell of some of the items rather overwhelming.

Alright Rob, hope you made it to Chang Mai ok. Give us an update soon, this is supposed to be my main source of entertainment at work! Glad to hear your still getting the ham rush on the other side of the world. Keep on truckin' bro
