The last few days have been a blast! Me and David have been having a brilliant time...proper holiday style...such a good change after Acapulco. The beach is fanatastic and is pretty empyt and is backed by a nice number of excellent beach restaurants. We have really taken to the fish and are eating quite a lot of it now. (mostly becuse we are certain of what we are eating as the chickens here look disgusting). The waves are fantastic and apparently are the best in the world for surfing...thats if you surf but if your like me however, you jst drown and swallow mouthfuls of seawater...they are really dangerous for swimming and a number of times, i have literally been standing ankle deep, only to be hit by a wall of sea and knocked on my back flying and pushed onto the beach only to be dragged striaght back out again by the strong current. The locals dont swimk there, only the stupid tourists...hmmmm... So most days, we laze by the pool, play pool, drink coke and eat chips. its great! we both have proper tans as well and then we dander down to the beachfront in the evenings to lie in some hammocks, eat great food, and have a few white russians!

The other day, we headed to a lagoon with a Canadian and New Zealand couple and hired a boat for the day. The canadian couple drove us there, only an hours drive and we got the boat for 60 usd. The lagoon was beautiful, water mangroves everywhere and hundreds of birds which had migrated frm Canada and we were able to drive through the mangroves through these corridors which was jst fantastic. We then got dropped off at a deserted beach which we had to ourselves which again was beautifuul. There was plenty of surf so the guys all grabbed their boards and spent the day surfing. We decided to get some lunch...we ordered and asked the price and the waitress had no idea. She said the food would be straight out and after 2 hours sitting there and no sign of any cooking going on, we began to laugh thinking they had jst left us there. We reckoned they had gone on their boat to catch the fish. Eventually she asked if we wanted our cokes now and we got them about 45 mins after that. Those people were definitely living the "slow" life. We got back on the boat later that day and went to a crocodile farm. It was petty scary, crocs of all sizes and they literally stood on top of eachother like statues. I was waiting for them to spring on me. The girl then told us that when they are big enough to survive on their own, they release them into the lagoon where we had spent the day! aaahhh!

Later that evening, we jst chilled, grabbed a couple of pizzas, beers and watched a dvd. You quickly get fed up with eating enchiladas, quesadillas and refried beans.
