The carnival was great we went out early-way too early!! We were in teh pub by about 11ish thinking that the carnival would be during the day-
well the had stages with music on them but have u ever heard of any bands form NZ coz i sure as hell haven't!!
Anyway it was interesting and there were loads of people and stuff goin on street performerrs music dancin lots an lots!
At 1830 a load of people called the Hot chicks were tryin to break a record for teh most people doing a dance-we signed up but in teh end we just observed and laughed at teh people from inside a pub! -they broke the world record though!
We went to a few more bars watched a really crazy band which played music i cannot describe worse than teh hardest techno i've heard but i still had a dance!!
then at 2130 finally teh carnival came with floats and music and FOAM! teh roads were really busy by this time and we got an Ok view and luckily did not get covered in foam from that float! After the prcession Zelie and i went back to teh main stage while kate went to bed as not feeling well. we watched a band that palyed a funky kinda Jazz which i really enjoyed but by this time it was midnight and we were both cream crakered so we made our way home to bed!
Today we took teh ferry to teh south island which took about 3 hours to get to from wellington. we've not done much here as all so tired but we have made plans for te next 2 weeks!
