Woke up nice and early this morning and got a boat up teh queen charlotte track which is a hike/tramping route which is only accessiable by boat the whole walk takes a good hiker 3 days because of our lack of time and fitness we decided to do a one day walk. They drop uss off at ship cove and picked us up at Furneaux lodge which was about 15k. the scenery was stunning with lush forests and beautiful coves. people have homes along the track and some are really nice but they must be so isolated. In the end with a few stops along route we made it in about 5 hours the 1st hour was the worst as it was all up a very steep mountain side and we were all puffing and panting when we got to teh top!
After being dropped off we have driven to Blenheim which is only about 40 mins from picton an d we are staying at the grapevine. Its a wine region so 2moro we are doing a tour by bike!
