Came across this heard of Antelope just west of Raton, New Mexico. There were about fifty of them in all. Very nice.
Today is our daughter’s birthday and we miss her quite a bit. Left hotel at 7:30 am and stopped in (the other) Las Vegas (New Mexico) and loved the ambience. What a great town, and so rich in history!

Arrived in Santa Fe just before lunch and walked around in the beautiful sunshine blue sky day, We managed to park right in the hub of Old Town and walked so much we needed lunch What a fabulous lunch we had. Opps….. is our passion for food coming though? Decided to skip Albuquerque and spend the time in Santa Fe.

Stopped at the Cadillac Ranch just west of Amarillo just before sundown. Got some interesting pictures.

Off to supper at the Big Texan Steakhouse Restaurant and what a selection to choose from!!! Disappointed that they were out of fried rattlesnake so Don ordered the Prairie Oysters instead. (Managed to get about 15 of em down before he gave up).

We are now snug in bed in our cheesy little room at the Big Texan Motel and getting rested for Tuesdays adventures.
