Me And Neil......MADE IT!!
Was looking at this cafe for weeks online......(Get it ?!? Phi Phi/bladder infection?? genius ..)
A couple of days before we left Krabi we were taken to a Thai night club.Luckily Neil is just like me and wanted to mix with the thais more than the westerners and In doing so we met some great people.Only when I was in this club did it sink in.There was people waving to me from the shops/resteraunts wed been using as if we were best friends.Krabi had started to feel like home which is why I was Gutted to leave but hard to be too gutted when your heading for paradise.
I have been planning to go to Phi Phi for 2 years since my old canadian boys from Bowen put the seed in My head.For various reasons it didnt happen.Id try and kill the need to go by watching "the beach"and pretending I was leo ,we do look alike after all...hes probably a little grimmer like. The boat took 2 hours and WHAT a place.the clearest ocean youve even seen.You could see the coral on the bottom ALL the way around the islands.Unbelievable.
Id read about this resteraunt that overlooks the islands from a height so while all the travellers
were getting hasstelr we jumped on a boat and headed for Long beach,apparently the best on Phi Phi don ( you cant sleep on Phi Phi leh) and somehow walked into a 300 bht bungalow!! Id be quoted no less that 1500!! back of the net!! Stuff was dumped and we found the resteraunt with stunning views,A quick banana shake and we hired the boat over to Phi Phi leh.
Now id had preconceptions of the island cos Ive read and heard so much but it definately didnt let me down.I had the moby song in my head of the film as we entered haha.First off was for a snorkel where you could see for miles including HUGE jellyfish which nearly resulted in a cardiac arrest for muah.From there the amazing lagoon.So hard to get a picture there,its so perfect,emerald water surrounded by massive cliffs.Paradise indeed.From there to Maya Bay where the film was erm...filmed.Now you may remember how sucked in I was when I was on the home and away beach so imagine this! I was overjoyed.Luckily not too many people there and the ones who where stayed in the sun cramming what little space there was.Me and neil
sat in the shade with half the beach to ourselves.Laughing at the fools,jumping up and down in "beach"-like poses.Seemingly oblivious to the fact the people in the book/film hate all that tourist shit.More fool them .I defo had a moment on Maya where i thought ït doesnt getter better than this" and I still dont think It does......yet
That night we headed over to Ton Sai where all the action is.From our relative quite to touristville I couldnt be arsed but end up finding a swedish divers bar piss up RAMMED with swedish birds.Nei bumped into a mate he hadnt seen for 2 years amazingly so we stayed for a while and got messy before getting the boat home.We jumped on the boat and the guy goes "smoke??" Then starts to chop up his weed into a bamboo bong.Ive been off the weed for about a year so I was hammered but at least I had my balance unlike need who Jumped out the boat when we got to our beach only to fall back into the ocean complete with Mobile and his friends expensive camera.Obviously this started a huge giggling session for me.I tried to sympathise but it was

"the Beach" too funny....If only Taxi rides back home where like this....not that it matters I wont be getting one for 2 years 😉.........

jealous as hell!!! that does indeed seem ace. maybe ill get a laptop and go work in thailand ;)
