So after a flight from Phnom Penh back to bangkok(i heard the bus trip was hell and i was sick of shitty bus trips....poor me eh!!) i decided to visit a few of the places i missed the first time. The main place i wanted to visiti ever since i left was the tiger temple where you could sit beside and touch the tigers(unfortunatly not around the head.) Some were on chains but others were loose and walking about. But there were plenty of supervisors around so it was safe and one of the best experiences ever siting between 2 beautiful huge tigers. Their coats were also much softer than expected and i could have sat there all day with them. We also visited the bridge on the river Quai and learned a bit on the torture of the POWs by the Japanese during WWII to build the track from Burma to Thailand so quickly....they were very tough times indeed. It was good to get back to bangkok too. Its a mad busy city the just doesnt sleep and the partying there is 24 hours....great craic! But time spent there was short as the islands in the south were calling.......but the tiger temple is one of the highlights of my trip so far.
