Bab's and me with some of the local villagers we met in the middle of the jungle!
Just a quick update today as not been up to too much. We headed down to the Cambodian coast and had a few days enjoying the sunshine and white sands at Sihanoukville before heading out to Vietnam (back via Phnon Pehn as always!) so preparing for two days on a coach.

The coaches are ok they are a big dirty and always crowded but importantly they are cheap and you travel with mainly locals so you feel more part of the culture than private tourist buses. The only problem is they blast out stupidly loud Cambodian music videos on a TV screen at the front, and ask they use CDS they are always skipping due to bumpy roads so it sounds even worse than usual.

Sihanoukville is a really nice little town and quite a few backpackers head here and was nice to get a little bit of a tan and get stuck into the freshly caught sea food and go for a swin in the Gulf of Thailand.

We did have one day trip out where we went to the national park/jungle and had a long boat ride down the river and a short jungle trek to a local village which was very secluded and we met a lot of locals and children who went to the school there. The school was just a small wooden hut but over 60 kids attend there from miles and miles around as its the only opportunity they get for an education so again was interesting to see. The children were very friendly and very excited to see Westerners despite the language barrier. I was really gald we did this trip as it gave us a great chance to see another side of Cambodia before moving on.

There are quite a few english run hostels on the beach so was nice to speak to a few English people, we also went to a full moon party where I got my first chance to see Laura leathered! Although we have had drinks most nights its just been one or two and just looking around towns but that was the first time we had a lot and I was definately feeling it the next day. However whiskey buckets for $3 cant be turned down!

I feel we have had a good look round Cambodia and really enjoyed it, to be honest you could just settle into the place and stay here for six months but I'm happy to move onto Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh city now.
