We arrived in Bangkok at 5.30am after a relatively smooth journey on a VIP bus, the five of us, (Justin, Dan, Rich, Claire & I), headed straight to McDonalds as we were hungry & a bit fed up of Asian food. We went back to the hotel where Claire stayed the first time we came here & were amused to see a sign on reception that stated extra charges for bringing back prostitutes, Thai men or women.

We got a room for Justin, Claire & I, (as Justin had decided to travel with Claire & I for the foreseeable future) & watched a bit of TV before spending the morning round the pool on the roof top terrace. In the afternoon we got our photos developed from our waterproof cameras we had taken tubing & had a beer on the roof top terrace of another posh hotel.

As Dan was not flying to Ko Samui with Justin, Rich, Claire & I we managed to find him an overnight VIP bus so he could arrive the day after us, in time for the full moon party. Claire & I went back to the room to find Justin who had gone to have his hair braided but he wasn't there so we watched a film, played cards & had a beer while waiting for him. When he came back he decided he was too tired to come out, Rich was ill so went to bed so Dan, Claire & I went out, had a nice meal & did some shopping on Khao San Road.

Dan took us to a roof top bar which served these bongs, (not drugs), but had flavoured stuff in, we had apple. His friends came to meet us who were the break dancers from Khoa San Road Claire & I had seen back in December & had got a video of. They drank with us & taught me a card trick. Gulf offered to teach me a break dancing move but I decided it was a bad idea. I made Dan promise me that he would teach me how to do the worm when we got to Kho Pha Ngan.

As it was nearly 1am & we had to be up at 4am to go to the airport Claire & I didn't see the point in going to bed for 3 hours so stayed out & went to a club with Gulf, Eck, Dude & Dan. It was an extremely funny night although Justin wasn't amused when we came home just before 4am as he was convinced we would miss the flight. I feel asleep on the plane to Ko Samui before take off & I went almost deaf for about an hour after we landed.

As hectic as Bangkok is, there is something about it that I love, we have now been there three times & may have to go back again when we head to Chaing Mai.

Miss you sugarpuff! XXXX PS Ed says he wants to see you do the worm aswell - maybe we can arrange a Hayward V Dally dance off when you get back!??
