Since the last blog David has returned to Sydney and we have had a very different christmas and new year compared to usual.
Christmas was very strange without family around, after all thats what its all about! We woke up and exchanged small gifts- I got a cool pair of plimsol things thats in fashion at the mo, they are great to go out dancing in as so much more comfy and look good with my jeans. I got david a new book (as he goes through them so quickly) some sweets and a Dr Pepper from the British shop- he was craving one!
We had an aussie xmas BBQ on the rooftop of the hostel before heading to Bondi beach.
Bondi beach was really busy but everyone was having fun and the weather turned out great, although not great for everyone as they suffered from sun burn the next day! We hung there playing cards, swimming in the sea and making sand castles. David had to do better and made a family of sand-men and a life size reindeer! See pics!
In between xmas and new year we went to the Blue Mountains for a chilled out day out of the city. We had a really relaxing day and experienced more amazing views.
Finally it was the moment we had been waiting for... New Year in Sydney!!
We left at 11 am in order to get a good spot to watch the fireworks. During this time we all played lots of cards, drank lots of alcohol and had a really fun time, until 11pm that was. It got rediculously busy and you just couldn't breath let alone move. The ques for the toilets were about 2hrs wait and when you have been drinking alcohol all day this is not good, so Katie and I became very talented at disgreetly pushing in!!
Anyway so at 11pm David and I decided to leave the group and find a less busy spot.... and we did for 10minutes then the crowd all came 1/2 hr before the display and so we were still crushed anyway! But the display was amazing and although we wouldn't do it again it was a great experience. After such a long day we didn't much enjoy the 1 1/2 hr walk back although it did allow us to sober up!! don't much more to tell but lots of pics,

hope you like them!

At the mo the plans are that David is looking for work and if he finds it hes gonna stay, otherwise he might have to move on elsewhere for a little while, but we will have to wait and see.
Hope you all had a great xmas and new year, look forward to next one being with you guys!! XxX
