Yesterday I briefly considered sticking my disgusting backpacker feet into a pair of six hundred dollar Kate Spade shoes. I decided against it and instead bought a pair of really nice less-expensive-than-Kate-Spade shoes and was up half the night excited about wearing said shoes and thinking about outfits I can wear with the shoes when I get back to the freezing cold. I've unloaded a bunch of my gear on Robin to take home so I now actually can fit things into my backpack. This is also exciting. Even more exciting still is the prospect of travelling alone for three weeks. Did I say exciting? I think what I meant was kind of terrifying. But i've seen How To Deal starring Mandy Moore a few times so I think that means I know how to deal. I just have to get on the right bus and get off at the right place. I got this shit dialed.

You scared me. I thought you spent 600.00 on shoes. I am in jail still. just going home from my second day. I wish I was in Thailand. Can't believe you are going to be home so soon. You are just getting to be an old hand at travelling. Take care, especially when you are by yourself.
