Perth to Geraldton to Denham

Wed 29th Nov- got a free public bus and a train to get to the place where I got the Greyhound bus north from. The bus left at 9.45 and I arrived in Geraldton at 4pm. On the bus we watched a good film called the notebook. I cant complain about the journey , the bus is air-conditioned and really spacious especially compared to the Oz experience busses.
Someone from the hostel picked me up. The hostel in a big old house which could be done up really beautifully but hasn’t so it is all a bit dusty and tired. In my room are 2 Canadians- Tim and Teresa and a German Sabrina. In the evening we all went to a really empty pub. A guy from the hostel tagged along- he is a little strange- he thinks he is Nicole Kidman’s brother but wants to kill her! I’m glad I’m not in a room with him!

Thursday 30th Nov- I decided to catch a ride with Tim and Teresa rather than get back on the greyhound. So we left Geralton after a wander through town- which is actually rather pretty. We went to the supermarket to by food for the next few days and then drove up to Denham arriving at 4.30. We stopped just before Denham at Shell beach- which is exactly that a shell beach! The journey up is pretty much a straight road with shrubs and red sand on either side, No trees, No houses, no anything.
Tim when straight out on his kite board and Teresa and I walked along the front and saw ‘town’ which is a row of hotels and a post office.
The hostel is 3 four bed dorms of a kitchen/living are with TV and Videos which is a nice set up. Spoke to the other 3 people staying in our area and cooked for everyone- yes mum it was pasta!

When you next see him you can tell him that Google research says Nicole Kidman doesn't have a brother. But perhaps she has disowned him !
