Hi All,
Travelling for non Chinese people has become infuriating with virus xenophobia really starting to grate. Last week we tried to pay a visit to Kangding only to be told I wasn't allowed on the bus, no reason given just being foreign is enough. Every place I visit not only do I have to show my healthcode or travel code, a QR code which everyone here has on the app WeChat, but I also have to sign in a book with my name, phone number and passport details. I also have to put up with people putting their hands over their hands and noses as I approach them or quickly putting on facemasks. Just today a monk, who wasn't wearing a mask, told me to put one on while saying nothing to the other people around me.
Anyhow that aside this is a really lovely temple. It is situated in the city of Emei Shan about half an hour from the holy mountain There are 8 large halls containing different buddhist deities there was another hall but it was closed. There is also a buddhist college on the grounds which is one of the largest in Asia.
It cost 20 rmb to enter, there is a restaurant on site but we weren't allowed to eat there as it was apparently for staff only.
Enjoy the photos
JAH BLESS

Emei Shan Temple
Beautiful Temple, truly spectacular. Magic part of the World. Is there snow at the top of Emei Shan at this time of year? The temple up there is also sensational. Really blew me away how you were treated as a potential Covid threat in Sichuan as you are not Chinese. Having travelled in 16 provinces in China where friendliness of locals was a feature, I am blown away by your treatment.
