Well my last 3 days in Laos were spent in the capitol Vientiane.
This town was the least impressive place i have visited so far. There are a few nice temples to see(but i think im over dosing on temples now) and a beautiful sunset on the Mekong river but thats about it. For a capitol the streets a very quiet but the roads, like in all of Laos, are old, bumpy and would make moon buggying feel like travelling in a Rolls Royce.
One thing i would recommend you do here is go to the club Luner 36. This was by far the best club i have been in asia so far (although i have only been to 4 others). Loas people are much shyer than their Thai neighbours but in this club the let their hair down a bit and we had 2 great nights here.
So from here i fly to Hanoi Vietnam. I regret not seeing enough of Loas and spending most my time on the tourist track going down through the country basicaly doing nothing, lying around and drinking too much. Lesson learned!!!
Ill have to come back here again sometime and see the country and the people properly cos its a beautiful place with very very friendly people.
Visit Loas!!!!
Right......Vientam here i come :o)
