Reply to this Kuala Lumpur is basically a big city. The shopping is good, there are towers and a few parks, but apart from the Petronas tower nothing to really get worked up about.
The focus of the city is shopping - and there are more plazas than you will believe, though if you are looking for specialist goods, get addresses before you arrive.
Things are cheaper than in the west - but always research prices for things before making a purchase.

Reply to this I spent 3 days in KL. I would have liked it better if I had visited it before Singapore. KL is dirty.
I booked a local driver with his taxi and he charged me RM700 for the whole day. The locals might feel it a lil expensive, but trust me, thats what the tourists are charged. Well! Most of the freeways are tolled.
I specially liked Menara KL tower, Putrajaya(thats where the govt offices are, so it is much much cleaner), Batu caves etc.
To go up the twin towers, you need to get in line at 6 am. They allow only a limited no. of people up everyday. Its free.
You can visit KL if you visit the nearby Singapore. I wouldn't call it a must see.
