Hi all, I am leaving Sydney on April 28th and heading to Bali, I then have nowhere to be until around the 6th August in Canada. I have a rough idea of what I want to do and a sketched out route, here's the plan:

1)Fly to Bali, waste some time there, head overland through Java to Jakarta seeing some of the sights
2)**Jakarta possibly fly to Medan and see some stuff around there, Banda Aceh etc-then possibly fly to Boreno and do Mt Kinabalu, then head to Thailand**
3)Either way, I intend to miss out Malaysia and Singapore and head to Thailand, do Phuket, Phi Phi, cross over and do Samui and Phagnan, Bangkok, Chiang Mai
4)Head into Mynamar and spend some time there-Inle Lake etc
5)Make my way to Laos and see Vientiane, Luang Prabang
6)Into North Thailand, make my way down through Hanoi, Hoi an, Ho Chi Minh
7)Fly to Phlippines, see Manila, some of the islands, Cebu etc.
8)**Possibly make my way Boreno and do Mt Kinabalu, then fly back up to Vietnam**
9)Make my way to Cambodia-Phonm Penh, Siem Reap
10)Fly to Canada from Bangkok.

Options 2 and 8 are negotiable because I'm not sure if I should do it early or at the end, but to be honest if there was one place to miss out because of time restrictions I think that would be it. I have previously been to Malaysia and Singapore, and also Samui, Phagnan and Bangkok, so they are dropable/limited time there if needs be also.

But as a basic plan, and with 14 weeks free, would this itinerary be possible? Anyone done anything similar and have any advice or suggestions?!Anyone gonna be doing it at same time as me?! ;-)
Many thanks in advance
Mike

Hello Mike 😊

Well, yeah it could be done. But that also depends on what you consider to be doing it. You wont see every corner of every country if your time is limited. If you want to cover all those countries I would pick and choose what to do in each. Be sure to spend at least 3 nights at each stop. Otherwise I think you will spend too much of your time getting from here to there.

What will eat you travel funds is the amount of moving around you are planning to do. It would be cheaper if you choose two or three countries to cut down on visa and train and plane expenses.
