Bangladesh In July

Hi booked a flight to Hong Kong in July with the intention of travelling to Tibet, then by bus to Kathmandu, then finally India. However, with the situation in Tibet, its unlikely to happen, and i'm looking at Bangladesh as a alternative.

I have a few queries, one of which, is whether anyone knows any cheap flights from Hong Kong to Dhaka? Secondly, i'm conscious that Bangladesh if hit by severe flooding, storms etc. Does anyone recommend any places to visit during July before i go to India. I'm thinking maybe 2/3 weeks in Bangladesh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hello Jonmanc,

Thanks for your quiries.

1. Hong Kong-Dhaka cheap flight is China Eastern, but it's take one stop over in Kunming. Direct cheapest flight is Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

2. Flooding and srroms are not problem for a traveller. If it will be problem, then it is possible to stay and live here for lots of foreigner.

3. You can include in your bangladesh tour itinerary The Sundarbans, Mainamati, Paharpur, Kanji Temple, Cox'sBazar, St. Martin Island, Srimangal tea garden and many more.

Hi Jon:

This would be the best time to visit Cox's bazar (largest beach) and if you are a true traveler you are gonna love it since it is off season and the crowed is less.

And if you visit any tea garden in Sylhet, you will simply love it!!
Moreover Flood & storm is not the problem @ the moment and you should also travel to the places mentioned in Saiful's response.

Few important sites:

Sundarbans wildlife trip based rocket steamer cruise journey is the top one must see travel destination and Bandarban hill tracts peak hiking around tribal villages is Top two must see travel destination of Bangladesh more attractive by travel writers and photographers.
