We are looking for a few places to stay en route to and from some other areas....would love any suggestions that have been good experiences or just towns people have enjoyed.

Hello!

My boyfriend and I are arriving in San Jose and have a hotel reservation in Nosara for nights 2-4. We wanted to take our time driving over to Nosara so were looking for a cool place we could stay somewhere in between.....any suggestions? I do not know anything about the areas in between. We are mostly into B&Bs or unique lodging, no chains hotels. Also would just like opinions of the areas.

Then we are in Arenal for the next three nights and need to find a place somewhere between Arenal and San Jose before we fly out. Again, am not sure how far that drive is but probably closer to San Jose than farther would help us get to our flight.

If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations on lodging or towns we would love to hear it! We will be there in February and are excited to visit such a beautiful country! Thanks.

Cheers!

Hi,

Driving from San Jose to Nosara wont take you more than 4 - 5 hours and its mostly on a Highway, so to get to an other place in between, you will need to exit the Highway and drive for at least 1-2 hours, to get to someplace like Jaco (you can find some pictures there) so personally I don't think its worth it. I think its better if you drive all to way to Guanacaste (where Nosara is), and problably you can find some other beach or a little town full with folklore and a lot of things to look at and to stay for the extra night.

Regards,

Joe
