Hey peeps 😊

I'm travelling to Thailand to the summer (June - July - August) and now I'm trying to earn some money for the trip, my dream is to be as long away from Norway as ever possible, but I've got a little money issue, I don't have a clue for how long my money will survive down there. So ... ehm.. maybe a silly question but; how much money doI need down there for food and sleep (motel, hostel whatever the cheapest).

My budget is around 6000 dollars +

I'm looking to stay at place without much tourism, but I place where tourists is welcomed 😊 Reply to this

and btw, how's the climate at this time of the year? If anyone can sum up the rainy and sunny times in month, that would be good 😊 I know that in december, january, february, march there are sunny times down there 😊 isn't that correct?? Reply to this

Hi Tomas Dec- Feb is nice and hot and no issues with weather, £3000 or as you put it $6,000 should be fine, i haven't been June to August but its still warm in the rainy season and tropical storms are shortlived as appose to european weather. If you shop around and eat from street sellers and sleep in dorms that money should last you fine😊

Hello Pleks😊

11 to 15 Euros per day would be a reasonable backpackers budget.
If u have more than that, u will be able to afford some nice luxeries while travelling.

Hi Plek, i actually live in thaialnd, and would some it up like this
December- Coolest time of year but rainy season is over and cool is no way cold
January - Little Rain and getting hotter
February - Hotter again
March - Hotter again
April - Blow your tits off hot, and songkram, the greatest festival in the world
May - Cooling down a little a little rain
June - Rainy but reasonably hot still
July - Litle more rain but hot
August - well it is never cold in thailand but more rain again
September - peak of rainy season, great fun though
October - rains but slows down a bit
November - little rain and hot but not too hot

as for money about $20 a day is usually fine, staying around kao san road is usually the best even though i hate the place
you can find other places though just as cheap,
thats if you are in Bangkok, the islands are always great and bear this is mind my weather report is general however a lot of the islands see great weather full stop when it isn't raining so they are great places to be,
depends where you stay as how much as well, some of the more popular islands are more expensive then others,
hope this helps
and good luck
regards
