hi Alicia
the first suggest is: look inside of yourself and after you know better what do you will like to do.
Thailand is great place to spend holiday, there is bangkok capital very large city there you could find everythings, very nice life there but with stress, aslo. (where do you came from?)
there is north with many temples (wat), with slowly life and luxuriant nature, tipical food and village, good for treeking and rock climb, relax with tradional massage culture.
there is south with nice sea and with white sand beaches, sea food and spicy, also, because in south there is more muslems people.
There is central of thailand with platoo of Korat with ruins of angkor temples and peddies
nord est poorest area of thai, with national park, ruins of angkor temples and mekong river on border with camboda and lao
i have traveled there some times, so
the best thing is clearly your ideas read some travel guides, and after i could give you my girlfriend email, she is working to travel agency in chiang mai, but she could organize for you tour, booking, reservation, transfer, accomodation etc, via email so she could plan your own holiday thanks to your suggests (customise it)
if you are interest tell me, i send to you with PM her email address
i wait you news
cheers

DO remember that April is Songkran in Bangkok so you're going to be in for wetness! Reply to this

I'm Thai , in my point of view in April you should to go to the beach in southern of Thailand both side Andaman and Aowthai

Andaman such as Phuket , Krabi(PP Island), Phang-nga (Khao Lak ,Shunami was happened here), Trang(Wedding party famous) also all of this place have many islands : Islands National Park in Phang-nga are very beautiful beach and for diving such Similan , Surint

Aowthai such as Chang Island, Samed Island it 's not too long from BKK can go by bus besides that in the southern of Thailand if you like a party you can join the foolmoon party at Pangan Island nearby Samui Island around there you can visit another island such Koh Tao , Koh Nangyuan and also Angthong national park

All those you can plan by yourself it 's not difficult because Thai people is friendly and a lot of smile when you ask them if they can speak English they appreciate to answer you.

Have fun in Thailand , "the land of smile"

OH ... Don't forget to join in Songkran festival in Khaosarn Rd , Bangkok or Chiangmai you will have the best happiness and experience for Thai 's newyear.

Bye.... ON

My advise, blind fold him the entire time and don't let him see any of the friendly and beautiful Thai ladies. Good Luck. Reply to this
