Travelling to Hong Kong, Thailand/phillippines and Japan.

Tips on how to get there

Hi. I am going to be an exchange student in Hong Kong next semester. I want to use my stay in Hong kong to the fullest. I want to travel to Thailand, Japan and the Phillippines while I am there. I will fly from London. Where can I get cheap plane tickets? I thought about perhaps flying from London to Hong Kong, then in a school break I will go to Phillippines/Thailand and when I finish my studies in Hong Kong I will go to Japan and from there take the plane back London. However if I book one-way ticket to Hong Kong from London the price is almost the same as if I book a roundtrip.. where is the logic in that?

Have you thought about taking a boat to the Phillipines? I am currently staying in Guangdong PRC. I saw a map with a ship route from HK to Manila- seems a good choice, and perhaps something different from flying.
Think you'll love HK either way- I visited recently- it's truly a feast for the senses- enjoy!

Hey. Have you tried Oasis Hong Kong airlines - they fly from Gatwick to Hong Kong for bargain prices (think the lowest fare they do is £75)! Vikki

from hongkong to the philippines you can try booking online with budget airlines like cebu pacific and tiger airways...have a good stay in the philippines

yes i think that the cheapest way for fly to HK from London be Oasis airline, so i am agree with Bob.
I have noticed that in your plan you would like to move in thai and in south east of Asia, so i have my girlfriend, she works for thai travel agency so she could make the reservations for you about fly, accomodation, tours, her agency can does visas for that countries of south east of asia, also.
if you are interest abaut that i can send you her email address so you will can contact her and do a plan directly from there by web, easy, isn't it?

Hey there!
We had flights with Oasis air which were cancelled because they went into liquidation. They may have been bought out and be running again now- worth checking their website- we had to get flights with BA - 250 quid pp hkg- lhr.

the cheapest way or airline going to the Philippines is Philippine airlines.. you may also try your luck for cebu pacific air. these two airlines offer the most affordable fare

From Hongkong book through Air Macau, Tiger Airways, Asiana Airlines - arrival at Clark Pampanga . I've seen their rates and they're very affordable.
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific - arrival at NAIA (Manila) - PAL has a more expensive rate than Cebu Pac

I've had good luck getting good prices to Hong Kong from Thailand using obscure airlines like Kenya Airlines, etc.
