Just arrived from a trip to Bariloche - Argentina... and loved it!

in Lima at the moment....been in Peru for about a month and I´m thinking about checking out Argentia or Chile before I leave.....Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on a budget trip to these places...ie what city, what I should def see, possible hostal etc etc....I suppose Patagonia is really expensive.....can anyone give me a ballpark for a 2 or 3 week stay? I know it all depends on what I want to do, but I hear argentina is a lot more expensive than Peru...whats the deal
Reply to this I went to Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, and did the lake crossing to Bariloche back in 2004. Oh my goodness the scenery was so beautiful! We bought tins of chocolate from Mamuschka chocolatier, and also did lots of shopping since everything was so inexpensive when we changed currency! With the beautiful lake surrounded by snow capped mountains, to me Bariloche had all the makings and beauty of a high end ski resort town, but without the high end ski resort prices. I also had the best steak I ever had in my life there, and a restaurant called "Jauja". Fantastic place!
