About to do a full year all around the world and need some electrical advice.
16 years ago, June 29th 2007 No: 1 Msg: #15800
Hi all,

I've been looking for a travel adapter to ensure I can power iPods \ laptops \ hair straighteners (my wife's, not mine - honest!!) etc and I've got myself confused. I'd just about settled on this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Swiss-Travel-Worldwide-Adapter-with-USB-port-UK-SELLER_W0QQitemZ190127190206QQihZ009QQcategoryZ294QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

but was then told it doesn't convert voltage. I believe this means it could lead to the equipment being damaged. Any ideas \ advice (obviously, portability is important).

Many thanks
