Are u sure? Because I have read, that is u come from Europe (EU), you don't need it, if your passport ist up-to-date (8 months at least before expiring date). Do u know where I could check that? Reply to this

If staying in Taiwan for a maximum of 30 days, Spanish & Italian citizens do not need a visa.

Homer is right. Visa is not need for a visiting within 30 day.
Citizens of the following 31 countries do not need a visa to enter the ROC for tourism or business for stays up to 30 days:
Australia Iceland The Netherlands
Austria Ireland New Zealand
Belgium Italy Norway
Canada Japan Portugal
Costa Rica Republic of Korea Singapore
Denmark Liechtenstein Spain
Finland Luxembourg Sweden
France Malaysia Switzerland
