My wife and I recently visited Charleston for the zillionth time and discovered the most excellent tour company, Bulldog Tours. They offer several historical walking tours as well as several ghost tours. We took the Ghost & Graveyard Tour and the Dark Side of Charleston Walking Tour. The Dark Side is Rated R, deals with "adult history". FABULOUS!! Not vulgar, just the real dirt on Charleston.

Also, eat at the Oak Steakhouse on Broad Street. Best steak we've ever had in our lives.
