Dung Chun Ferry

From Vladivostok to South Korea by ferry
17 years ago, March 20th 2007 No: 1 Msg: #12065
Has anyone any experience in travelling from Russia to Korea by boat? I\'m looking for something a little more concrete than the dubious translations of the dungchun ferry website can offer.

\'Way to Russia\' website asserts that there\'s a ferry which runs between Zarubina and Sokcho... has anyone travelled this route? Any adivce would be most welcome.

Never mind - I took it and it's absolutely fine. Just talk to the desk in the ferry terminal in Vladivostok. Then a fairly interesting 3 hour drive on very sketchy uncompleted roads to zarubino... these may be completed by now.

boat is comfortable and very korean. sleep on a yo. excellent food. beautiful sea views.

sokcho to seoul was easy too. bus direct. and cheap. Reply to this
