Reply to this Selfies are a mixed bag for me. I really dislike the most common selfies, the ones taken by visitors at famous sites worldwide. These pictures scream "Look at all the fun I'm having!" Social networking, with its implied message that nothing is valuable unless its shared with someone, feeds this tendency.
I like selfies that are more unusual. Specifically:
1. Pictures with friends and family, particularly ones not visited in a long time
2. Selfies taken in places that are hard to reach or otherwise represent a difficult accomplishment.
3. Selfies that have unusual composition or otherwise artistic. The Cloud Gate in Chicago is incredible for this type:
Reply to this Selfies are just great, i love taking them each single day i have to take one, by myself or with my kids when they are around. The most part of it i love is that i can take time and get the best pic i want without wondering how the photo will look like.
Reply to this I like doing them when I'm with a fun group of friends, or my family, doing something silly cause its great to capture the emotions of that particular moment. So rather than take selfies seriously (like a famous family that starts with a K), I like to be goofy with them!
Reply to this Selfies - hate, hate, hate! Especially people with selfie sticks poking you in the eye, and people who care only about their own image and don't think to look at what background they've chosen.
Reply to this I prefer not to take selfies. if I cant avoid taking one, ie. landing in a new place so my friends and family know I am alive then I do it quickly and send them the photo
