Hola! My name is Jennifer, I'm a Medical Lab Tech and my husband/travel-partner-in-crime is Victor and he is an Aviation Technician. We are young professionals who love traveling on our time off of work and find it to be the most rewarding experience to share together as a couple! Unlike many of the bloggers here that take year long trips, we represent those travelers that work, save, and take 1-3 week long trips around the world! Then work, save and do it all over again!
We live in North America, and have been to various places in South America (Colombia & Peru), Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Netherlands, & Belgium), Africa (Egypt), and Australia (Sydney & Cairns).
We just added new travels to Asia (our 6th continent) in September! Stay tuned for Beijing, China. Bangkok and Kanchanaburi Thailand. And Siem Reap, Cambodia.

It was something we always talked about, and then the day finally came to go to Asia! The options for things to do and see are enormous! But one thing was certain, we had to go see the Great Wall of China! So we began our trip in Beijing China, then moved on to South East Asia. I had to do A LOT of research and pick everything carefully, from hotels and activities, to when was the best time to go... I had to make sure not to make our trip to China during any of their National Holidays, to avoid high prices and massive crowds since the Chinese love to travel. We chose to travel there in late September, the weather in Autumn is the best, and it's low season for tourism. Since we were ... read more

San Antonio, Texas! This lovely and adventure filled city has so much to offer! From attractions for your children, to a romantic couples getaway, to bar hopping and clubbing for the party folks, and surprisingly it is suuuuuper DOG FRIENDLY! So when I started researching for our road trip to San Antonio, I found out that there are many attractions you can take your dog to, and after some thought I said yes we have to take our dog Mr. Clooney! It was either that or he'd stay at a friend's house or dog boarding like he usually does when we go over seas to travel. We love our dog so much, he's the closest thing we have to a "child" and since he's got such a sweet demeanor and outgoing personality we knew this would ... read more

I feel that every trip I've taken so far has been a blessing. I've definitely grown as a traveler and as a person, and I feel so lucky to have been where I've been. For our trip to Peru, we went for a week and concentrated our time in Cusco, Machu Picchu, and spent a little time in Lima. I had a lot of fun planning this trip, I just couldn't fathom being dropped off in Cusco with no idea of what I was doing or looking at... so I researched for about 5 months. Everything from the Incas to how to avoid altitude sickness in Cusco (11,200 ft. above sea level). So lets start with that... these are my 4 recommended tips for anyone worried about altitude sickness in Cusco: (1) Drink lots of GATORADE!! ... read more

This is one of our favorite trips, we love Amsterdam! It's such a unique country. But, Bbrrrrrrr.... it sure is chilly there in December! The opportunity to go to Amsterdam came when my husband's company sent him there to work on an airplane project, so I had to rush to buy my own airplane ticket and follow him there for almost a month (at the time I wasn't working full time, so I could join him) This was our first time going to the Netherlands (aka Holland.) I ventured out on my own a lot while Victor worked and got to know the wonderful city of Amsterdam. On the weekends we did mini-trips around Holland together. This is the most unprepared we've ever been on a trip because we only had time to research the weather ... read more

Visiting Egypt was like a childhood dream come true! I grew up watching Egypt documentaries on the Discovery channel with my whole family on the weekends, it was sort of a "family time activity". So for me Egypt was more than just the ideal place to visit... it became an obsession. I tried for years to make it happen with no luck! I just had to get there some how, but I didn't know where to begin. Just as I chose my route to Egypt and started planning it, everything came crumbling down with the news that Egypt was going through a revolution, and that there was going to be political unrest there for a while. The Egyptians had an uprising against the government and their president Mubarek and even though they did it peacefully most ... read more

I was very excited to be visiting Turkey as I've always heard it has so much history and beautiful buildings, and because it was my first middle eastern/Muslim country to visit. We were stopping here on our tour of the Mediterranean. Izmir isn't the most recognized or visited place in Turkey but it's in the top 3 biggest cities and it's one of the main ports to reach Turkey from by boat/ship. I was anxious to see what the people were like and I imagined they'd all be dressed in older fashioned clothes that cover their skin and face, this assumption comes from the fact that they are a Muslim country. I had no idea that my views about what Turkish people wear was going to turn into a funny travel story but it ended up ... read more

We had just spent a few days in Italy, now we were going to our next Mediterranean country, Greece! So many people put Greece on the top of their travel list, so I had high expectations coming here. In the end, I would summarize Greece as a place of rich long history and beautiful sunsets. We visited Katakolon which had great laid back beaches, and the next day we visited Athens which is the center of Greece history and politics. In Katakolon you can take a day trip to visit Olympia, which are the ruins where the Olympics first started in ancient Greece. When we arrived it was early morning and we decided to take a short train tour of the countryside. On the train tour of Katakolon we saw a castle and some beautiful Greek ... read more

Italy is a beautiful mix of culture, art, religion and history!!! I really wanted to go to Egypt, and Victor really wanted to go all around Europe. We ended up flying to Rome and spending a few days there, then cruising around the Mediterranean sea which gave us a chance to visit other European countries and Egypt too. This is a very easy and laid back way to get around, and more cost efficient then flying to each place individually and it's ideal for those who don't like the hassle of figuring out how to reach places on their own. I personally perfer spending a couple days in each city I'm visiting, but this was something we had never tried before and we found it to be a very relaxing experience. To prepare for our first ... read more

We had just come back from Australia on our amazing honeymoon! We felt so exhilarated that even though our layover in San Francisco was a short 3 hours, our adventurous side took over and propelled us to take a quick trip to the Golden Gate Bridge, which as you probably already know, is one of the Modern Wonders of the world, and a famous symbol of California which we had never had the chance to see before. Fortunately we didn't have any huge carry ons to lug around with us. All our heavy stuff was already checked in luggage and making its way to the airplane that would later take us home. So we sped out of the gate in search of the Golden Gate Bridge. With our camera in hand and our watches back to ... read more

I don't think we could have had a more enjoyable honeymoon! For Victor and I, it involved traveling half way a cross the world to an exciting new continent. It involved snorkeling in one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world and it involved exciting new cities, romantic beach resorts, tropical rainforests, and trying a variety of new things! Australia is seriously the coolest place to visit! Like true lovers of travel, we decided long ago that traveling somewhere exciting for our honeymoon was the priority over spending a lot on the wedding. We decided to visit the tropical coast of Australia, but Victor kept most of the details of our honeymoon a secret as a surprise for me! It was the best decision we made, because it was THE BEST TRIP WE'VE EVER TAKEN, ... read more
