Reply to this My favourite choir with a great guest singer. Took place while we were overseas. Don't get to go to the Basement since it got trendy and expensive. Hope you enjoy.
Reply to this Larry Coryell passed away in New York in his sleep from natural causes on Sunday Feb. 19 at the age of 73. He had performed his last two shows the same weekend at the city's Iridium Jazz Club.
While not strictly a blues guitarist, his skill was amazing as you can hear in this cut from one of his albums. I still have all his records from the 60s and 70s. I believe he was one of the best guitarists of the 20th century. Enjoy!
Reply to this Very nice tribute, John.....thanks so much for sharing. He was an amazing player.

Reply to this I sat in a barber's shop in Mali as our tyres were being repaired after two flats in the Sahel...men in turbans filing in each receiving number ones...shaking my hand as they filed out...a jukebox playing extraordinary distorted blues. I asked the barber in my broken French to write down the artist and he wrote JELY MOUSSA...been looking for it ever since. Then years later I discover this...gotta post it so I can research to discover if the artist was DJELI MOUSSA DIAWARA.
