Hi there! I'm planning a 6week trip around Mexico and have two questions:
1. Where do I have the possibility to get in touch with local people?
2. Do I need a visa for Mexico (I'm Swiss)?
Thanx for your help!

When I was in Mexico I found there were lots of opportunities to meet people - in bars and clubs, just being friendly in all kinds of places. This was more in the smaller places away from Mexico DF (city). If you want to really get to know the mexican way of life I'd suggest a homestay. Usually tied in with studying at a language school - I don't konw your level of spanish but a week or two in a language school with a homestay will kick things off.

Mexico Visa Information - according to this page from the Mexican Consulates - you don't need a visa - you will need a tourist card which you can get at the airport/border - and will cost around $20.
Have a fantastic time.
Reply to this Mexico is awesome. All you need is a birth certficate and a drivers license. The airline will have you fill out any other paperwork during your flight down there. I would stay away from airgorilla for booking any flights and try not to fly with Mexicana airlines unless you dont care to see your luggage ever again.
