Hi all,
After posting that i was planning a trip to asia then heading off to australia i have now booked my flights. First leaving London Heathrow and flying to Hong Kong with a stopover in Dubai with free room courtesy of Emirates.

We have four nights in hong kong where we later fly to Bangkok. We plan to travel thailand for around a month.
I am looking for any recommendations of what to see and do in Dubai, Hongkong, bangkok and any other area of thailand.

In dubai will will only have the evening (6pm onward) to do anything. And the Burj Khalifa is going to be the priority.
4 days in hong kong, staying in Kowloon, we only have two plans so far, which are the ladies market and Victoria Peak.

Few details to help the suggestions. I am travelling with a mate and we are both 23yo males. Not necessarily interested in history but can appreciate certain things if they are worth seeing while we are there. We would like to go diving(scuba/snorkling) somewhere along the lines, ride an elephant, possibly see some pandas in china, a full moon party. Mainly looking for must see, do and experience things aswell as 'off the track' hidden delights, beaches, villages ect.

Also any backpacking tips/tricks for thailand would be handy as we are first time backpackers.

Thanks guys Reply to this

Hi, for the pandas visit the Ocean Park in Hong Kong, they have a panda house, with a few pandas. They were very playful when we visited, but they also sleep a lot. However, I think you will like Ocean Park because there are many things to see and do, a nice aquarium, lots of birds and different rides. It is nicely located near the ocean, so there are some good views too. Don't miss the Hong Kong light show which takes place every evening in Kowloon. Impressive. I also enjoyed just walking around Kowloon, there are lots of markets and shopping streets with quite a special feel. Reply to this

In response to: Msg #168076 Thankyou for that, we will definately look into that. The light show sounds good, i watched a few videos for it and think that will definately be on the agenda too. Reply to this

West coast of Thailand....aka Phi Phi area attracts way more rain in July...keep it to the East side...anything from Koh tao....to why not going down to Malaysia and the Perenthians if you have time.

July doesn't mean no rain on the East, it means way less...and trust me, we could speak of only few hundred miles difference...it's huge!

If you want even better....head straight to Bali and around in July...best season! Reply to this
