Many had said that Cuba is very expensive to travel to... Is there any alternative?

I'll be in Cuba early March, I've no book any casa particular... Do i need to book one?.. Do anyone know any good and reasonable price casa?... Any contacts? Or any tips?... Whats the best way to do Cuba economically?.. How much do i need for day?
