We are planning on traveling to Nepal from Varanasi on October 24. We are flying out of Delhi in the early morning on November 12, giving us about 18 days. We are interested in one of the famous treks (AC, ABC, or EBC). Ideally we would like to see Kathmandu and/or Pokhara for a couple days too.
I might be leaning towards EBC due to lack of roads and more of a wilderness experience, however I'd really like to try to combine that with Kala Pattar or Island Peak. Will we have enough time for this if we arrive in Kathmandu on Oct 24, and have to return back to Kathmandu by Nov 11 in order to make it back to Delhi for our flight that night?
Alternatively, it seems AC will take a little too long for our timeframe, although I guess it's possible to shave off a day here and there and see most of the good parts? It looks like ABC takes less time and would enable us to have time for Kathmandu and Pokhara. Or is it not worth sacraficing trekking days to see these cities?
Thanks so much for any help.
Reply to this Hi Justin,
I've edited the location so it will show in 'Nepal' as well as the Asia forum.
Best of luck with the planning, and have an amazing trip - Nepal is the top of my wishlist :-)
