Sometimes when I travel I use Metal Travel Guide to find Heavy Metal clubs and bars to visit in the various destinations in Europe.

An Indian friend of my boyfriend, who travels a lot with her job so sometimes gets to Heavy Metal Festivals here in Germany saw a t-shirt I brought back from India for my boyfriend that says 'Delhi Rocks'. Her comment on it was, 'Delhi does NOT roc'. It is Bangalore that rocks'. I tend to agree with her about Delhi, as I was out in Delhi all night one night, at what is likely the coolest place in Delhi to hang out at night, and it sure did not rock.

I looked up Bangalore on the Metal Travel Guide. There is one Heavy Metal bar listed. My boyfriends friend said it was the Mecca of Heavy Metal in Bangalore, but it is now closed. She said there are other bars now that play Heavy Metal, and she will show me around, if I come to Bangalore. Checking out the infancy of the Indian Heavy Metal scene has to be a good reason to go to India in my opinion. Since it is fairly new, there likely is lots of freshness and excitement surrounding it and its fans. 😊

I posted the following, on the India Mike site, to see what those folks who seem to know absolutely everything about India say. The person who posted the first and only answer so far is right in a way. There are metal fans in India, and likely they have been around for a while, but they are well hidden, and hold private metal parties, as Heavy Metal is not really approved of in general. In Bangalore though, Metal Heads are comming out of the closet and there are public bars that now play Heavy Metal there.

Thanks Dave! 😊

Luckily we have these and the 'System of a Down' one on CD, because at the moment U tube is so jumpy, that it is adding an unwelcome dimension to all sounds we play on it.

Our hard disk on our computer packed it in a few weeks ago, and we are using a really old slow thing, that somebody gave my boyfriend for free a few years ago. It is reminding me of the early 90s, when computers were this slow all the time, but at least this one doesn't crash as often as they used to in those days. It just makes videos really hard to watch, because they will do things like stop for a couple of seconds in the middle of a word, so if you get distracted after listening the first half of the word and forget what it was, then you are lost because the second half often doesn't mean much without the first half.
