Photographer: M and M - "Our overseas move started in 2005, with a brief vacation in India. Then we joined the Tsunami relief team in Sri Lanka for a couple of years. Now we are in Africa, based in Kenya, with Murrays work taking him all over Africa and beyond."

Thanks! My husband took this photo in DRC. He was on a work trip and managed a quick trip to see the Gorillas. An amazing experience, and this photo is our favourite. He spent some time with a family, the conditions were bad, mist and rain and dull lighting, so we are really happy with how the photo turned out. He would highly recommend seeing the Gorillas 😊 Reply to this

I too visited the gorillas in 2008, but in Rwanda, and this experience comes with my highest recommendation. The difference was that I wasn't able to capture such a tremendous photograph as the one chosen as the Photo of the Week! Reply to this
