Hello fellow travel buddies!
I am going to Indonesia for 3 weeks in March/April - but have no idea where to go. There is far too much choice!
As it is only 3 weeks, I do not want to be traveling around loads and I don't want to fly too much (so traversing the archipelago is probably not an option). In terms of sights, I'd like to do some snorkeling, and possibly diving, check out some jungle areas and volcanoes. Oh, and see a Komodo Dragon.
So... any suggestions?
Thanks!

I really loved the area around Yogyakarta on Java - especially Borobudur - ensure you are there for a sunrise. Haven't seen the rest of that island, but would love to one day.
A picture tells a thousand words as they say, so have a peek at my blog for an idea of what is in the area:
Storms over Borobudur Reply to this A friend of a friend just went to Sumatra. They flew from KL to Sumatra, starting at the top of the island working their way down. They snorkeled, went diving and saw orangutans in the jungles. No komodo dragons in that area that I am aware and it is the road less traveled if that is what you are looking for.

If you like snorkeling and diving maybe you should consider visiting Bunaken in Manado because it has marvelous under water scenery. And you can visit volcanoes in there as well because of Soputan Mountain.
