Trying to figure out how to get a Vietnam visa from Shanghai

I`m planning to head to Vietnam next month, and know I need to get a visa before I go. Has anyone ever gotten one from Shanghai? The Vietnam consulate website is basically blank and wondered if anyone knew the process. Reply to this

It's pretty easy to get it, you will need to go to the consulate in Pudong (if address hasn't changed), it's not far away from the Novotel Atlantis.

Bring a picture (maybe 2) and copy of your passport with you. There will be two choices, one month one entry, or multiple entry 3 months (way more expensive).

The price will also depend if you need it fast, or you can wait 3 workings days.

But beside this, it's not very difficult if you can get the time to get there at the right time of the day. Reply to this

Thanks Pierre-Alexandre, it does sound quite painless.

I found the address if anyone is interested:

3F, Huachen Financial Mansion, 900 Pudong Ave, P.C: 200135.

Instructions provided for gettingthere: This is on the corner of Pudong Ave and Yuanshen rd. The closest Metro station is Yuanshen Stadium Station on line 6. As this is not a popular line, you may find it easier to take the metro to Century Ave which is also close and an interchange station. If you do go to Yuanshen, the walk is not bad as the street is lined with trees that provide shade. Reply to this

I visited to Vietnam last year with my family to help of <snip> .I applied through the Online application for Visa is a viable option these days. however, in both the cases you need to know about the documents you may require for getting the process peacefully completed.
Documents required for applying Visa
• One passport sized current photo of the applicant,
• Completed application form,
• Original passport with at least 6 month validity from the date of leaving country for Vietnam.
• Visa fee to be paid by certified check or by money order,
• Prepaid self-addressed return envelope, endorsed/prepaid with by FedEx or Priority Courier Indian Post with tracking number.
I hope it will be help you.
