Central America.. Where to??

Im traveling to Central America March to May need advice! Please

Hello
I have finally been able to get off 7 weeks, March 26 to May 13. I am looking on advice on where I should go, and how much I can see in seven weeks. My first thought was to try and see as much as possible in 7 weeks as i can, but then again I’m ok with busy but i don’t want to feel totally rushed. I was thinking of starting in Belize or Guatemala and hitting Roatan for sure, and then trying to head as far south as possible with initial thought flying into Guatemala City march 26ish and flying out of Panama city May 12. This is my first major trip and will be possibly be alone to a max of me and one other. Some friends who have had time backpacking say that i will be rushed some say pick two or three countries or areas I’d like to travel..
Any thought or opinions would be greatly appreciated

I spent 9 days in Costa Rica traveling the counry and it did not seem enough...If you are flying out of Pananma I would suggest spliting your 7 weeks between Costa Rica and Panama....you may enjoy secluded villages, turtles (laying eggs or hatching), active vulcanos, rain forests, cloud forests, the panama canal, aboriginal villages....and much more....
I can tell you from our experience that anything less then 2 days in one place will not give you enough time to see the place.
