This photo was taken prior to a guided "glacier walk" at Franz Josef Glacier, South Island, NZ. The local authority prevents anyone from accessing the glacier on their own due to the danger of ice falls, crevasses, etc., so one has to book a guide to walk on the glacier. These guides were headed to the base early one morning, and I thought that their unintended marching formation looked kind of cool, so I ran up behind them to take the shot. Reply to this
