Im going to Srinagar this July and I was wondering what could be the next destination. I definitely don't want to miss Manali, Shimla and Dharamsala so I would like to ask if anyone has ever done the road from Srinagar to Manali or any other places I mentioned. Is it a doable road? How did you travel? How long did it take?

You really choice good place to travel specially road trip to Himachal manali to srinagar via LEh ..
The most beautiful landscape and challanging too.
From Manali you will get sharing jeeps and Bus to Leh.
sharing jeep take 21 hrs driving to Leh .Bus will over night at serchu or somewear.
Its most challanging and beautiful landscape .
Road condection is not good as ur thinking but sure its fun too.
And from Leh to srinagar its nice easy driving as compear to Manali Leh much much better Leh srinagar.
You can get again shering Jaab /Bus from Leh.
Over night in Kargil then next day to srinagar by bus.
By jeep they again will take drive stright to srinagar so that fun again but here you will have villages after every 1 hrs driving so nice n feel good.

Yeah we drove around that area last year - Agreed, taking the highway across to Leh then travelling down the Manali-Leh hwy is amazing and is more 'adventurous' than going south through J&K and Daramasala...
You could do something like this:
Srinagar > Kargil
Kargil > Leh
Leh - Nubra Valley or Pangong Tso (both spectacular side trips well worth the effort it takes to reach them)
Leh - Manali (EPIC!)
Manali - Shimla.
etc
