What are the best places to visit/or the best things to do while in Vietnam?

I'm planning to travel through Vietnam and want to know what are the best places to visit or the best thing to do while in Vietnam? any suggestions are appreciated. thank you :) Reply to this

We are currently traveling through Vietnam and are only half way through the country but we'd highly recommend checking out the Mekong Delta. The floating markets around Can Tho are very interesting. Also, we enjoyed HCMC and Hoi An. We'll keep you posted on Hanoi, Halong Bay and Sapa once we get there. Cheers! Reply to this

I have just visited North Vietnam and found Hanoi good and a trip on a boat in Halong Bay. This can be a bit busy but was OK in early April, although it was a bit misty. A town worth visiting was Bac Ha, where there is a very good Sunday Ethnic market selling absolutely everything, Reply to this

it depends on your time and your habit.
I suggest you should go to Hanoi - the capital with a thousand years old, Halong bay - natural heritage and Sapa - old town with ethic minorities in the North.
About the middle of Vietnam, u should go to Hoian - old town, very lovely with old house,slik. Nex is Nha Trang,Phan Thiet, Mui Ne you can choose one because of beautiful beaches.
The last city is Ho Chi Minh city - never sleep city.

I may suggest some famous places for you: My Khe beach in Da Nang, Phu Quoc in Khanh Hoa, Mui Ne in Binh Thuan, Halong Bay in Quang Ninh, Nha Trang. They're all marvelous, stunning and inspiring beaches.
Then Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are interesting destination to see.Hanoi is a small city with the combination of tradition and modern whereas Ho Chi Minh seems to never sleep.
If you prefer something peaceful and romantic, let's visit Sapa and Dalat, Hue, Hoi An, My Son.
Just google to find out some more promising destination that may suit you. Have safe trip. Reply to this

Just wanted to update you on Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay. Sapa was by far the highlight of our month in Vietnam, the views are amazing and the people are so nice. We highly recommend staying at Backpacker GH, the couple that runs the place is so sweet and helpful. We decided against the junk boat tour on Halong and went to Cat Ba island on our own instead. We rented a kayak and spent the day in Lan Ha Bay which is less touristy and equally as beautiful. Hanoi is a city you should check out but I wouldn't stay more than a few days.

It is difficult question because at leat you should provide some information such as what do you expect to see, to do...sightseeing, beaches, local culture, ethnic minority...or adventure, activities...

In the north of Vietnam, you can travel to Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam with many attractive destinations such as old quarter streets, Hoan Kiem Lake, West lake, Ho Chi Minh museum, Hoa Lo prison,etc...From Hanoi you can go to many places: Halong bay in Quang Ninh province, Sapa - two destinations should not be missed by you. Also, Cuc Phuong national park, ancien capital Hoa Lu in Ninh Binh province.
In the middle of Vietnam, there are some best places to travel are in Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang. Quang Binh has Nhat le beach, Phong Nha Ke Bang national park. Hue has many beautiful places related to Vietnam culture. So beautiful beaches in Danang.

Hi guys
it is easy question to answer, but i could be not easy anyway. There are many beautiful places cross the country, personal experience is northern of Vietnam are nicer, have variety culture as well, due to geography in northern is 2/3 is hill and mountains, majority of interesting ethnic minority group are concentrated living around north west and nort east, central land of Vietnam have more culture heritages and world class beach, Yes i am definitely agree floating market in Can Tho is best ever. for answering question correctly is depend on your what do you want to see, what kind of travel style you would like to take, this is very interesting video clip of travel in northern of Vietnam

Everyone have difference points of view for holidays, i would like to suggest some things in below here then you guys will have your own idea where to go. Hanoi is very nice and interesting and charming colonial city. Sapa is great ethnic culture combine with beautiful natural landscape, so amazing terrace rice paddy, now is good time. Halong bay, really beautiful bay, so many rock information rise from crystal water, good to stay overnight on cruises, maybe 80 to 90 % tourist don't miss to see Halong while they are in north of Vietnam. Hue is history and culture building. Hoian is farmous for ancient town, good beach, good shopping, good to try out food, and cooking class, nice people too. Nha Trang is party city, good place for snorkeling and diving trip. Saigon is very westernized city, good for enjoy night life. Mekong delta is water region culture, the best floating market is Cai Rang in Can Tho, that is some major highlights of Vietnam, hope you make a good choice for your Vietnam vacation Reply to this
